American Idol: Cook fried Enchilada? Oops I meant Archuletta..

In a blazing finale of a series, American Idol (A.I.) once again ended its eight-week plus show with a bang! Popular artists like Timberland and previous A.I. performers were present, expressing their love for music by singing in large groups. Timberland sang “Apologize,” one of his hit songs of the year. But the main feature of the day was the non-azoic David Archuletta and David Cook.

In my opinion, we all knew they would both be at the top of the A.I. season, for their good singing and vivacious talent. However, in some parts of the final show it was clearly evident that Archuletta had some difficulties making the raspy or brunt voice of Nickelback; both Davids needed to sing the tone of the song “Hero” together to achieve the famous voice of the real singer. Alone Archuletta’s voice sounded too pure to qualify for Nickelback. David Cook on the other hand had the voice: the same raspy, sore throat style voice which pervades through the air during the song “Hero” or other songs like “If Everyone Cared.” But don’t read this post and think that I support Cook wholeheartedly! Archuletta has a pure voice, more suited for more higher pitched vocals. Cook just has the more lower pitched voice which American’s seemed to love. All in all, even though Cook won by 2 million votes and fried Archuletta, it can be assured that Archuletta will definitely win a recording contract, for getting second in American Idol is a HUGE thing to have on your resume…
